After my third retirement from playing, my wife and I met my old friend John Robertson for dinner at a restaurant where Joe Gabe was doing a solo singing gig. After a couple of glasses of wine, we got up to sing one song with Joe and never left.
That was the beginning of Midlife Crisis a.k.a. Powerhouse a.k.a. Midlife Crisis - yes the name changed back and forth a couple of times.
I have to say, it was sheer joy singing over tracks with these guys. It was shameful how easy it was to set up and tear down - a wireless mic here, a couple of tambourines there, boom you're done.
It has evolved a bit since then and now, even though we still use tracks, we also bring drums, piano, and guitar. Once a musician, always a musician.
